Many employees working for Surrey, or in a Surrey school, are employed on Surrey Pay terms and conditions. These terms are set by Surrey County Council (SCC) and reviewed every year as part of a pay settlement.
In 2016 SCC completed a substantial review of pay and rewards. The pay settlement for non-schools employees on Surrey Pay was part of the first phase of the pay and reward review and resulted in a collective agreement which incorporated the changes into individual contracts of employment with effect from July 2016.
Those on Surrey Pay who work for, or in a school, received a different pay settlement from non-schools employees on Surrey Pay.
SCC have now started the Schools pay and reward review, which covers employees on Surrey Pay who work for or in schools. Phase one is focused on the proposed introduction and implementation of job families. UNISON are trying to visit every school to talk to staff about what this means. If we haven't visited your school yet please get in touch.

SCC say they will be sharing information about the review here and updating this web page regularly, so make sure you check in for the latest news.
